Welcome!

I am a Peace Corps volunteer working as a teacher trainer in Namibia. Namibia is a beautiful country in southern Africa - there are deserts in the south, lush forests in the north and dramatic coastline along the entire western border. I live in a very small village in the Kavango region, 200 kilometers east of Rundu (the largest town in the Kavango). I have already seen much of the country and will continue to post pictures of the amazing places I visit. I look forward to your comments but don't get discouraged if you don't hear from me in a while - reliable internet access is not always available here.

Great to hear from you and to see your beautiful pics. The bakery looks huge, is it for an entire area? The school has so many students lined up, that was a surprise. What grades and ages does the school cover? I couldn't see females, are there female students? Your 30 lb weight loss is amazing. I thought I remembered that you said your diet was mostly meat.Is that still the case? I guess you're kind of on an Atkins type diet. Your look GREAT.
My niece is now in the Peace Corps in Bolivia. She is in her 2nd week of training. I think she'll have 2 to 3 months and then be sent off somewhere. She wants to focus on youth at risk and/or health issues for women. So far she loves it and thinks the training is very good. It was great to hear from you and we'll look forward to future blogs.
Best,
